Had a mate e-mail who had seen the Nutz piece on TV, so you've missed it.

Trying to get a copy of the transcript from Guildford, hysterical apparently....

Not a lot I suppose. Coming to terms with relegation to CCL Div 1 if and when it's confirmed. Or has it already been confirmed?

Looking forward to the Hellenic BADdy? They won't know what's hit 'em wink

Its still not confirmed we are in the Hellenic league but its 99% likely. What do you mean they won't know what hit them? I am looking forward to the Hellenic leagues as closer away games which I will be able to get too.

Unfortunately, I missed the 'Nuts' tran-smission as well, though I'm told someone has recorded it.

We will not know what League until after the FA and League decide after their respective meetings, though general view is we are Div 1 next season.

Meetings are on-going on a regular basis with M.V.D.C.

Might it help negotiations if the club removed it's press release from its website?

Its rather inflammmmattttttory, and although I cant blame the board for celebrating the victory at the time, two fingers and the old fashioned up yours salute et al, continued threats and allegations aimed at the council and councillors cant be helping.

Nearly a third through the timescale already, stop looking for the 1000 year peppercorn rent with full council maintenance, and get a sensible lease signed please.

Won't the club need one in time for the coco agm? Won't Bookham?

Is the judgement available for public consumption yet?

1) I have no control over the DFC web-site.

2) There was another meeting with M.V.D.C. during the week which was constructive to discuss lease terms. The next meeting, I believe is scheduled for June 6th.

3) As far as I am aware, we have not yet received the full written Judgement from the Court.

In answer to the earlier question, I have been advised on two points.

1) The judgement might be weeks coming through as there is no slick process for this - just a request that has to be transcribed from tape and then read by the judge and signed off apparently- which is fair enough. We hope to receive the full Judgement by June.

2) The press release will stay as it is. It was in response to the M.V.D.C. spin on the proceedings. The Club have retained the option to both go back to court and to issue a substantive ombudsman's complaint.

I am also led to believe that certain statements made in reports and letters by various officials are being studied in great depth by legal advisors for their truthfulness and credibility. However - That's another story !!!!

thanks to your advisor for the info!

Perhaps the content of the release and the clubs ongoing attitude to the council and councillors will become more understandable when the judgement is available.

I cant help thinking though that even if it was a complete and utter victory for the club in court, and the club can virtually write its own lease, the council will still be the landlords, the licensing authority, the planning dept. the car park police, etc etc.

The club needs the council back on it's side.

gussy the council wanted the current board out for events over the last years, they said that in public.

They are now forced to give them a lease by the court, although the terms aren't agreed.

I think you will be able to read the clubs press release on its website.

If you were in the council's shoes would that statement soften your attitude to the board or harden it against them?

One when negotiating the lease, and then ongoing. For example I lease my warehouse from the council, they've just done an electrical check on my premises.

Some work to do, fair enough.

If they wanted me out they could easily give me a tough report, short time to comply, make my life hard.

The club dont need to be battling the council every day they need to be getting out of div1 and getting some supporters back and some cash in the till.

And whilst Dorkings lease might not matter to the coco committee now they are in Div 1, what is Bookhams position?

They are a prem club with no proof of a suitable ground for next season and a lease needs to be sorted quickly for them too.
