You are the lucky ones. The Maidstone version of the Km had one small picture and about 6 lines about the Fleet's triumph!
I shall be picking up a Gravesend version of the KM tomorrow I think, even if I have to travel to Gravesend to do so!

Dartford Messaenger had the 12 page 'victory special', plus poster. She won't let me put the poster up above the head of the bed. Woman! They just don't understand.

Actually......There used to be a street sign by Rose Street that did in fact say Ebbsfleet High Street!

Where will Ebbsfleet high street end up in relation to the new ground and the train station?! I can't quite picture a parade of shops yet...

The signs probably went with the milestone and gas lamps outside Frosts. If you could find some old photos of the bomb damage during the Blitz you might spot them.
