For non MYFC members, would you try it for 7 days

Recommended Posts

I just raised the issue on the other forum, and it would be helpful if I knew if the demand is there.

7 Day MYFC Forum READ ONLY Pass.

You Have to provide Name, address, valid email and ISP Number.

Would you try it ?.

If you dont want to post, please PM me.

I dont see why a guest account would need to provide IP details anyway, if it has 'view only' rights - what difference does it make?

How about posting a copy of your (YorkFox) 'forum highlights' email on here.

Quite happy to do that if people want it. I didnt do it as there was a feeling a while back that this wasnt the mYFC board.

People can get it sent straight to their email if they want it, but do note that any links to MYFC web pages wont work.

Keith (Yorkfox) I am in favour of this myself - I think even if we made it "open forum" for a weekend on MyFC, it would be a good move. It's very different from this forum, as some posters on here already know - and the debate has been very heated on some topics recently. I have enjoyed John's posts over the last couple of days. He is doing exactly the sort of thing that will lead to MyFCers seeing another point of view. It's good stuff.

east is east and west is west sal and never the twain.....regretable but true...

the fans on here are generations old in some cases and support their team through thick and thin.....yes I accept that others from MyFc will and have got the bug (for now)but there is a big difference between the internet generation owner pick the teamer and the true legions of NL who turn up through thick and thin...rain or shine...win or lose.....

wobberlees great... but its a once in a long time thing...bit like disneyland once in a while as a treat for the kids but any NL ground on a freezing cold pi55ing down tuesday in the no one cares league cup is a different proposition entirely I am afraid to say...thats when the reality kicks in...

personally I have never posted on the MyFc cesspit and never will as I would be at it all night with some of those morons and the true fleet fans would be no different...some have embraced MyFc and thats okay as for the foreseeable future that entity's founder does control 75% of the shares in ebbsfleet...

all the well intentioned attempts by various NL uneducated emmisaries of comrade brooks will not change the divide in mentality between the two factions...they are best left divided on the net but let them join together on the terraces...then it will work...

just my opinion...smile

Uncle Urchin, I know we are not like the local supporters, but we are now supporters nevertheless. I think one of the things that makes it SO difficult is the geography. I'd have loved to have been there tonight - but it's just not possible. I think that when you meet people at games it makes all the difference. I know there are some southern-based MyFCers who don't bother going to home games - but to balance those, there are some who go to the away games too.

Re. Riverview's comment on the MyFC forum - yes, it's a very hostile place sometimes and at the moment, questions about MyFC governance issues are causing some angry debate. At the same time, many members are also talking about the win and the good feelings surrounding that. I don't know if it would put people off, it might if they were looking for a forum that feels like this one. However, the MyFC forum never fails to interest me and I've also been posting off-topic on my thread about Tunnocks teacakes ...

A combined forum could be started with mods from both forums. So it's not controlled by certain members of MYFC. Having Regular chats with higher Archy before making a post, would not be necessary, as it would be a open forum, well at least as much as this one is.

Bustagut I like this idea a lot. The mods on MyFC are implementing a stricter moderating policy but no-one has had the courtesy to actually tell us what it is yet. So it's like having rules you can break even though you didn't know what they were ... I started a thread a couple of days ago asking for clarification of the new rules. It was quickly taken off the front page by the Operator himself. I think that your idea is certainly one I would like to see.
