On this day MFC were crusing to a comfortable 3-1 home win when a the RT scored an own goal which made it 3-2. It was from this point that the season never really got going again and we did not make tthe playoffs.

 

What is also interesting is that it was probally not only that goal which cost RT his job but as Maidstone went on to win and got 3 points it saved them from relegation. (they would have ended 2nd bottom behind Folkestone). It has also cost us the loss of Jay and Pinns to them.

 

This date must surely been the worst day for MFC last season.
