Meetings have taken place this week to finalise next seasons leagues, here are some of the rumors from the Isthmian forum

AFC Sudbury,Bury Town and Arlesey Town off to Southern League Midlands Division

I can see the sense in those to be honest. I wonder if Sudbury fans would see this as an easier or harder route to promotion? The Ryman 1 North is looking strong for next season, but I don't know too much about the teams in the SLMD?

I agree, taking Sudbury and Bury out would weaken any league at that step of the pyramid.

Without Edgware, Sudbury, and Bury, you'd have to be looking at Redbridge, Ware, Brentwood, Maldon as playoff certainties, with the unknown entities of Boreham Wood and Concord along with the likes of Enfield Town and Northwood for the other spot.

I'm glad we got out of that league. Trips to Sudbury and Bury were amongst our best of the year.

Kind of makes sense as teams from the surrounding counties (Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire) tend to go into that league but still a heck of alot of travelling especially to teams based in the Birmingham area.

I can't believe they've moved Bury, Sudbury and Soham to the Midlands division. The travelling has got be far greater than it was coming down this way every other week. Also, isn't travelling cross country the reason clubs from the Eastern Counties didn't apply for promotion? Lowestoft announced this week that they were going to attempt promotion to the Isthmian... they may change their mind now.

I'm glad we're gone from that league though. Attendances will be awful, especially if Sudbury leave.

Truro have a bit of money apparently so won't mind the travelling themselves but other teams won't be too happy.
