Just confirmed by the CCL secretary the following :-

 

Just to confirm that the recommended date for the start of next season for both 1st and Reserve teams is Saturday 9 August.

 

The main reason for this is that the Extra-Preliminary Round of the FA Cup is on Saturday 16 August and the majority of clubs would not like to start with an FA Cup match.
