...considering going to watch Ramsgate next season.

I know it's difficult at the moment with the boardroom shennanagans that are going on but the club are making mugs out of us fans.

Now I'm obviously not a local, and only moved to the area a few years ago and after watching both Thanet clubs for a while settled on watching Margate as Kent League football wasn't for me at that time, although I did have several enjoyable afternoons at Southwood just getting me Saturday afternoon footy fix. Now if MFC don't get a grip several fans won't bother or may switch allegences to other Kent clubs including our local rivals. I'm not being disloyal (I would never watch Chester) but I think any floating fans may go where the success is rather than a shambles. What do others think and is anyone brave enough to admit they may go elsewhere? Unless our club sorts itself out!

i am totally peed off with MFC and am considering(in fact am almost certain) not returning to watch the gate as much as it pains me to say but i will certainly not be going over to the red side never in a month of sundays!! the reasons to my decision are laidout elsewhere on this forum but basically i am disgusted at the way the club treat its fans and contionue to do so. There has been much talk lately about this AND STILL NOTHING FROM THE CLUB NOT A EFFING PEEP well if thats the way they want to treat the fanbase then i fear i and many others won't return next season, i followed home and away in my first 2 seasons and again in the conference season, never missed a game at ashford although cost me a fortune in travel never missed a game at dover again travel cost me few quid and there was nothing to say thanks. I even stewarded at ashford, all this bollox hurts me but...... oh doesnt matter ive said all i want to!!

You obviously didn't appreciate the jest between Bob and myself, Ian.

Ramshite has always been called Ramshite, and no doubt that will continue for all eternity.

Besides nobody will remember who came second, let alone who came fifth. grin

Your loss then Alex, and WelshBob, and anyone else who decides to stop following the 'Gate. No matter what happens off-the-field (or on-the-field for that matter), I will always follow my team. Whether we have to travel to Sevenoaks or Manchester United, I will never stop supporting the players who wear the Margate blue.

Although I hinted I might defect to Dover, it will not happen. I know the board have shown no interest in our interest in the club. But the club is not them alone, it is our club as well, our support helps to maintain the team, and it is the team we should rally around with the best support we can give them. All the time there is a team playing under the MFC banner I will support that team, despite being treated like some unimportant bloody nuisance of a peasant on the open terraces.

I will never & could never follow the Reds.I will look in from time to time when we aren't playing of course,to see the other opposition's in action (nothing wrong with that i.m.o) but times will change & then those defecting will wish they stayed put.

I know it sounds a little far off at the moment but IS IT really.? I honestly don't think it is!

Ramsgate "peaked" last season & I really can't see them doing so again this season coming. They may well end up top dog locally again this year because of our problems, probably mid table,in fact I would be surprised if they didn't but in a couple of years time from now,I am confident we will have ridden the storm & be back in our rightful place..top of that tree.

Those that follow this club.....please stick with it no matter how frustrating things are at the moment.

You'll be pleased you stayed loyal & will rue the day you changed sides,if indeed you do.
