Hi there to everyone,

 

Hope everyone is well and enjoying there Summer, I must begin by saying how frustrated I was at the relagation of Slough Town and do hope that everything gets sorted out for the future. Slough is a fantastic Club with a great bunch of supporters and club officials to match.

 

During My time at Slough I would say My experience was indifferent for many reasons, but I felt it was right for Myself to come on hear and sort out a few points to try and put a stop on a few things that have been said. I have alot of friends still at Slough and like most players We do read the forum and to be fair like to have some banter in the changing rooms or more so now texts saying what people are saying.

 

Never have I wrote on here Myself until now, others may who I know but Me personally havent. I can understand some of the things people have said but not all, there are things that happened at My time at Slough which I regret doing but at the time things I thought was right, Farnboro game for instance, As a Player your playing against the top of the table team and for the night I got asked to play a different role more of a target man which you all know is not me but I did. First half I had limited touches and was getting smashed in the air by the farnboro defenders, I really wanted to get more involved but found it hard to so I was getting frustrated in Myself to play better. The last 20 minutes in the first half I began to get involved but was still frustrated, at half time I spoke to Bettsy which I asked could I drop short but to be fair He thought it was a good idea to stay deep and push them back in the half, which worked well. In the second half I then got more and more involved which was pleasing inside. The game was fantastic, fast and both teams played good football and the fans were excellent, I managed to get on the score sheet(yes Terry still claming it haha). So putting all that in context, I then got substituted which I was frustrated at, more at Myself then bettsy. Walking off was wrong which I can admit but at the time it was pure frustration with Myself.

 

Alot of things got said in the programmes and on the forum, but bettsybeing the nie bloke he is sat down with Me and sorted some things, which was great. I have read a few comments on here about Myself and although supporters do have the right to opinion, I do feel that theres a fine line between general and personal thoughts.

 

Whilst at Slough I loved playing for the club, the players there are fantastic and with a summer break and some confidence You could eaily go onto big things which Im sure You would all agree, although I didnt get to meet Derek becasue My move to Uxbridge was going on before He took over but when I did speak to Him He sounded real posistive and a real nice man. Speaking to the boys at Slough they have confirmed this. Also In Calvin You have a great coach, and a real top bloke even if His banter is poor (just kidding). And Im sure with these at the helm You will be seeing a different Slough next season.

 

Also before I go I have to say a big thankyou to gary thomas, a great man and very passionate for Slough, He was a big help in certain situations and a merit to Slough.

 

I do hope to see You all soon, hopefully next season in some way and do hope that great things are ahead for Slough Town.

I hope a few things have been cleared up because things that have been said have painted a picture that Is not nice to hear and its not what Im about.

IMO Riddell talks a good game but doesn't have the ability to match.
