On a serious note the first thing i'd like is to tie down a few of the signings that we made late last season. I was really impressed by Wharton, and Pritchard would be class at whatever level we are at next season.

I'd also try and get Roy Gumbs to sign as well. Yes he may not be able to play 45 games a season, but would be great to throw on at the end of the match to cause some problems to the defence in the last 20 mins.

Roy Gumbs signed and committed. Has been taken aback to be so welcomed at Slough and is looking forward to playing his part!

Also Roy still running and training through closed Season, he really wants to make his mark at the age of 38!!!!

if thats true anon i cant say im surprised. Roy seemed to be loving being a major part of his local club. very very pleased to have him as his work rate and commitment is top top class. as chris said he may not be able to last a full 90 minutes through a 45 game season but what a super-sub he could prove himself to be

I hear Sweetman is looking at bringing Danny Jordan of AFC Hayes and Blaise O'Brien of Hillingdon Boro, thats not a bad forward line.

I'd imagine half the teams in the league will be linked with Danny Jordan. Apparently AFC Hayes had a lot of 7-day approaches for him last season, but he stayed loyal.

Having said that does play sunday league football with our very own Dean Harper...

Rumour has it that Blaise O'Brien has already agreed to join Hanwell Town next year in the Spartan League. The Hillingdon Boro Assistant Boyce Wise has joined Hanwell as assistant to new manager Keith Rowlands. A few more Hillingdon players are expected to follow him after their move to the Ryman league. Also, most clubs in this league and a few above will be after Danny Jordan. But maybe his links to current STFC players will help......

i was just saying in general are we in the position to attract bigger players than in the recent past. i dont believe we will definitely sign anyone just wondered if the new players could be of much a better standard than most have been in the last 3 years or so (with a few exceptions). i wasnt assuming anything for 1 second
