Do you support another club as well as slough ?

But don't you hate these people at the pub who claim to 'support' a team, but never go to a match and shout and scream at the TV and when there team loses throw a tantrum and smash glasses.

Going to a match week-in week-out and seeing your team lose and relegated is really football hurting!

Totally agree Chris, I do think that most people supporting teams in the non-league do however have a "proper"/professional team that they also at least follow.

Mine is Chelsea, I was attracted by the glorious relegation season of 1987/88 when they went 30 plus games without a win the highlight being the 3-0 drubbing at the hands of Luton at Kenilworth Road on new years day. I'm clearly a lucky charm.

Supported Fulham from 1970 - 1987 when I discovered Sough when I moved to work here. Still occasionally go the Craven Cottage but a) its very expensive and B) its not as intimate being 1 of 25,000 when you can be 1 of 250! Enjoyment is just as good though.

My other club is Hillingdon Borough - the thing I like about them is the peace and quiet of a game.

It is also good as everyone knows each other; there is Malcom & Sandra, Anon, Anon, Anon & Anon and that is it.

On match days the crowd size is dependant on how many people are using the practice pitches at the lower end of the ground as they get counted too.

We have the luxury of upholstered seating at the lower end of the ground which we share with the pigeons.

At the other end we have the main stand and if it gets really crowded people end up standing in the faintly painted yellow hatched area and the person seated in the stand complains that he cant see.

The pitch is absolutly flat - it is just an illusion that it slopes at 10 degrees.

The catering facilities are first rate I am told - I have not eaten there myself, as I have not yet been able to secure a second mortgage to buy any.

The fourm is a hive of bantter and comment and it really puts to shame this under used Slough forum.

I belive the club is now looking forward to putting this years silverwear into the trophy cabinet - that is once they have bought one as there has not been a need previously.

Must get back to the Hillingdon fourm to see what I have missed as it is so lively on there.
