An interesting piece in the Sun today.......

PARENTS CUP FIGHT

A schools football final was abandoned after a fight erupted between parents. Seven police vans and dog handlers were called as forty mums and dads spilled on to the pitch in extra-time at the Kent County Championship Final in Ramsgate. An onlooker said "They went at each other like a pack of animals". The game was declared a draw.!

I live by St Lukes and never heard anything so can only imagine it was Southwood or Jacky Bakers.

The game was at Southwood, its been on the Ramsgate Forum, posted by James year 11 from Charlie Dickens,so proud on the day of the Final, and so upset the day after.I think your 7 Police Cars and numbers is very exaggerated

Dont think it was parents involved i heard it was some youths who were mates with the lads playing on the pitch from the Maidstone school and the same with Charles Dickens. Both having banter with each other and something most of been said or happened to spark it all off.

I'll bet i can point the trouble makers out, without even being there. We had a problem with the game played at Margate. We had to surround them with Teacher/ Security and threaten them with expulsion and the police. This was before 1/2 time. It seemed to have the effect has we had no more trouble. These again were youth's from the outside who had no business being there.
