Massive congratulations to Ebbsfleet , took the game to Torquay from start to finish with Akinde playing a blinder of a game , Hessintiller commentating on radio kent was amazed at the quality of Akinde and to round it off Charles Webster said he started the season by playing on loan at Whitstable before making it into the 1st team at the Fleet . Im 100% positive he was at MFC 1st but there you go but its Ebbsfleets day , well done to them . Oh it was 1-0 by the way if no one knew .

Very enjoyable day today and none of us wore Margate shirts. Torquay were terrible and you would have thought that it was Ebbsfleet who got into the play-offs not Torquay. Akinde played very well and should have scored atleast 1 possibly even 2.

 

Saw Jimmy Jackson in the coach park after the game and he said that he has no idea whats going on here at Margate and he also said that he is hoping to still be with us next season.

Yeah i think I have to give a special mention to Akinde who was definately one of the best players on the pitch alongside Mcphee. Who would have said that Akinde would be one of the best players in the FA Trophy final match at Wembley stadium, at the start of the season when he was playing for us. Probably not many

I think the reference I made to John Akinde was that I saw him playing FOR Ebbsfleet AGAINST Whitstable in a pre season friendly at the start of the season. I believe he came to Hartsdown after that.
