A southwesterly breeze with intermittent showers, 16 degrees celcius, a queue of 3 people before we get in, some chanting from the Canvey faithful, no chanting from the 10 EFC who make the journey, I'll be sick from drinking in a dodgy Southend boozer, a total attendance of 287 coz nothing to play for, scrappy play shaded by your lads, Waldron to be sent off on 18 minutes for calling the ref a cheat, Protheroe to join him on 47 for no obvious reason, Canvey to win 2-0, 1 goal a debatable penalty, the other a thunderous volley from 30 yards which hits the corner of post and bar, and just crosses the line.

Never been to Canvey for a match, every time it's clashed with work, still not 100% for this one but fingers crossed and all that jazz. If the weathers good(don't look likely) we'll do Southend Friday & Saturday night.

Sometimes go and watch Northampton, last season was the only time I've ever wished they'd lose 1.) because Hansen and Lawro were spouting their'professional footballers' spiel and 2. coz you deserved the win.
