As for laughing Cookie, thats so far from the Truth,Im mortified about the way your being treated, BUT the majorty wanted Piper OUT, now hes gone, so whats the problem?

Piper might have resigned from the board together with Page but we still have the EGM that has been rescheduled for later this month. I understand that it has been called by Gary Lever with the only item of business being to sack the entire board!

Piper is still the major shareholder in MFC so will therefore have a vote at that meeting. It is possible and most likely that GL proposal will be passed with the votes of CP, KP, GL and the few allies KP still has amongst the shareholders. If that happens then i guess a new board would have to be voted in which no doubt will have GL as Chairman, KP as Chief Executive (A position he has stated he wants) Terry Prosser and Colin Page returning to the boardroom. If that was to happen then we would still have the developer on board, the boardroom infighting would be no more. It just leaves a few questions to be answered

1) Who will be new manager?

2) What would the new boards (If it happens)expectations be?

3) Would they be loking to return to the Conference South or be

happy to remain stagnent like we are at present?

4) When will the new ground development be started and what time

scale for its completion?

5) When will all the supporters that bhave purchased bricks for

the new stadia see their engraved bricks in p-lace or are the

club going to scrap the idea and refund the supporters their

cash?

The club started going to pot when we had to spend a 2nd yr at Ashford , we averaged around 150 a game there and we are on course to retain that status at our true home HDP . There is no point in starting another club up as some of you have said because there is no one interested in the one we have now , the club is going to die unless something is put in place and someone has the guts to stand up and take the rains and get out and about Thanet and get sponsership and new people on board or GORDON WALLACE . Up the Gate.

I for one would love to see Gordon Wallace back at his beloved MFC at HDP, but can't really see that happening until after the outcome of the EGM is known. GW was a true gent whilst at MFC and the club would certainly benefit from his knowledge, expertise and contacts should he return to MFC as our saviour. Please Gordon come back and save us from more gloom and doom.

Was hoping things would sort themselves out but if I dont like what I see when the dust finally settles then the match sponsorship, shirt sponsorship, season ticket, 50/50, programmes, food and beer will not be purchased next season

Roadrunner is spot on with his assessment of the situation. In my view we are in a worse predicament than that of Jan 2004. Until Piper and his gang are relieved of their shares the Club is going nowhere

Those were questions I wanted answered by the board ("bored" used lightheartedly) of Directors Ian, if you read my post properly.
"Anything else" (in blue),was what I was looking for from other Margate supporters.
Besides are YOU a supporter of this club or a member of our board?
Sorry,I thought this was a Margate supporters forum.
Mind you I can see how you mistakenly thought an opportunity had arisen for you to get your pennies worth in..Any confusion as far as that goes I apologise for.
(as it happens I have no problems with your answers as until we get something from these Directors to the contrary I believe that thats how the majority of OUR supporters see things as they stand)

I will also concede that maybe because I was in a right old mood when you posted that I may have been a bit short with you.

Be honest you are revelling in this as can be seen all too often when you post on your own forum.(different to what you post on here)

As for Piper going it all seems to be going downhill by what I'm hearing & if those that wanted him out thought this would be a start of something new then I suggest they think again. Sometimes its better the devil you know than the devil you don't.
I don't have the answers like some supposedly have but I repeat,I wish the board of Directors currently running the show would just get us together,with them & tell us their intentions from here on.

I cannot believe that after another days work I come home & STILL find nothing coming out officially. Unbelievable!.

There does appear to be a distinct lack of leadership at the moment.

 

Who now is exactly running the club day to day

 

It must be MR i guess (although if KP has the shares-KP retains the power )but day to day-that must leave MR in charge now.

 

Time for MR to step up to the plate-show leadership/chairmanship qualities-and take the club forward with what is left.Thats his responsibility as chairman.

 

It starts-as everybody is crying out for-with clear communication of what has happened and how he envisages moving things forward.

Time for malcolm to come out of his shell-or equally 'retire' gracefully and let someone else LEAD.

 

A LEADER is required.

 

Frankly-we do not appear to have had that leader since Mr Parmenter left the club.

 

Here we are at the weekend,so we know that we will get no info for at least 2/3 days leading to frustration/anger and dangerous wild speculation from supporters.

 

Can someone let our remaining Board know that in this information age-the world carries on over saturdays and sundays.

 

It would not take too much effort for a simple club statement -right now- saying that a full statement will be made early next week-at least that would be damage limitation

You are right with the Parmenter thing im affraid , did he see something along time ago that made him up and jump ship , and look at the way he has pumped money into Dover ,cleared there debts and made them in my book one of the favourites for the Title next season . You may all moan about how he went his own way but at the end of the day i would rather MFC be in the situation Dover are in than we are in . Up the Gate .

Active Signs is in financial difficulties (allegedly), so if the club intends to play next season they will probably need a new kit sponsor.
