AFC Kings are making plans to step up to the Essex Senior League after dominating the Ilford & District Premier Division, claiming the title by an impressive 11 points.

In the clubs' 10th anniversary, Kings won 11 games out of a possible 16, losing only once all campaign.

The team have been prolific scoring 65 goals this season, an average of well over four goals per game, with a special mention going to Nathaniel Evans, who bagged 20 league goals in just 12 games he played.

The team has had a highly successful history winning the Fenton League and Spartak cups, along with the Ilford and District League Two title, but this is the first time they have won the coveted Premier League.

There was almost despair, as the team nearly went out of existence, taking a full break from competitive action for a whole season before reforming for the 2006-2007 campaign, while in the course needing to build a fresh new squad of players; something that makes the achievement all the more exceptional.

It's all the fault of those teams that can't stand being in the Ryman any longer and drop out of existence so that Ilford can escape relegation once again.

Wait for the results of the FA meetings next week and then the ESL AGM later this Summer or just sling your useless crystal ball away instead Ricardo Redbus..

The reason the ESL wont progress is not down to the ESL and those who run it but the likes of the conty FA who are totaly intransigent with ground grading and make it very difficult for clubs to progress. plus...... the sort of suits that control the likes of Eastwoodbury Lane who wont allow White Ensign to bring it up to ESL standard (not much work required from what I can see)and let them play ESL football there. This is a total nonsense because they play there every other week in the EOL anyway so what is the difference.

So at the end of the day the establishment that holds it all back just for their own bureaucratic glorification.

Most clubs started as so called Kwango outfits if you look back to their origins.
