Only kidding! All about Piper as you'd expect. Craig Tucker just speculating like us on here really but does say that when he spoke to Piper a couple of weeks ago that he was in a bullish mood and there was no way he'd be going anywhere before the new stadium was built (oh, the mythical new stadium) and that Terry Yorath and ex Watford reject and Gills donkey and own goal and sendings off specialist Barry Ashby had been lined up as manager and first team coach respectively (lets hope not). Piper was unavaiable for comment suprise suprise. Would anyone from the club like to comment before total apathy sets in amongst the few faithful we have left and before the support dwindles to an all time low.

I think we are fighting a losing battle on this one Hornet. If things have to be passed by the chairman before it goes up on the official then may I ask Malcolm to get his fingers out.God knows how I have tried this week to get a regular flow of info up there. What IS their problem?.
Thanks for the info Hornet. Saves me buying a copy now laugh wink You have allowed me to continue to be a tight fisted lazy dickwad. whistle

Lol Cookie! Forgot to mention the breaking news at the bottom of the back page that former Premiership coach and Watford striker Steve Butler has returned to Ramsgate. A quality coach especially for this level. The Rams go marching on whilst we just sit and watch them take our place-it's a disgrace!

By the way, anyone else suspicious of why Keith has resigned but at the same time retained his shares. Is he trying a new approach to get what he wants or is the way the club treats us fans getting us into a state of paranoia?

How much longer do we have to put up with this treatment. They seem to have the ignore them and they'll go away syndrom. Which will lead to will the last fan to leave kindly lock the gates. Sad to say the short trip down to Dover next season is beginning to look the more attractive option. At least there's some cover down there in cold and wet weather.

Silly boy could you see the following happening:

Rangers fan changing his support to the Mighty Celtic.

Everton supporter changing to Liverpool.

Athletic fan changing to Franco's Real.

never never never I would rather join Tony M in watching his wet paint dry.

You forgot to mention Hornet that Piper was going to install himself as Chief Executive. Maybe that is still his master plan.

Canterbury City here I come. Oh and they will have a new Ryman Premier staduim in place by 2011.

Many thanks for the invite R60. But not an option I'm afraid. As I said once before on here, going to watch the Reds when they are not play Margate (and of late the Urchins), is a capital offence where I come from. hanged

Well AB, i hope the ongoing problems at Hartsdown get sorted soon, and some sort of offical notice is forthcoming,so lay fears for the supporters who have been given a raw deal,i dont think YOU really wants to go to crabble, and we need you guys for our derby next season,- you are ourlocal rivals, dont want it to be Dover, SO LETS HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT SEASON-

no not at all, i'm just bein pi$$ed off with the club thats all, but if the club carrys on like this then i think the club could go into admin, probably not next season though.

I was just responding to Ramsgate 60's post as it seems he is under the illusion that we could end up folding soon, which is extremely unlikely. I don't think things are that bad.

I think this mess will start clearing up after the EGM.

Hope so. I hope things start to come out of the club sooner than later otherwise I fear the worst. But then I always do fear the worst when MFC's concerned!!!

What is the Lever/Piper takeover? Although one of these is apparently still on the board the other isn't so the only way to battle would be to buy all of the Piper family's and Levers shares. All the time they have shares they have a right to decide what goes on and, if it is true that they have the majority, they still would have the final say on any matter so would, effectively still run the club.

I am imagining that those, as a collection, would be over 50% so even at whatever low value they are worth now it would require a fair bit of money. On top of that, like it or not, Piper and Lever have invested a large some of money in the club so will want that taken into account should they choose to sell their shares. There is no way that either would sell up at market value and would want to see at least a large chunk of the money they invested returned.

So, to summise, in my opinion a battle against Piper and Lever would require a starting sum of money in the hundreds of thousands of pounds. It would take a while to build that sort of war chest.

Steve
