I've just been to a Radio Academy seminar on sports broadcasting featuring the great Alan Green, Simon Brotherton and Jim Proudfoot of Talksport and Setanta, and we had a little chat. It turn's out he's a Torquay fan and is going to the game on Saturday as a fan with his two boys. As nice a bloke as he is, I still had to tell him he was going to be disappointed for the second time in a week when we win on Saturday. I feel sorry for his sons but destiny will prevail!!

By the way, Sky's commentator for the Final tomorrow is Tony Jones. Co-commentator is Clive Walker.

 

Tony Jones normally does Ipswich & Norwich match highlights for Anglia (ITV) and the 'lowest-profile' games only for Sky.

There are probably some opinions about him here (if you want to read through all 970-odd pages ! grin

 

Jim Proudfoot is a very good commentator (in my opinion).

It would have been good to have Martin Tyler doing the Trophy Final though.
