What a marvellous day for Margate FC. I feel as though a cancer has been cut out.

But, what of the patient? My immediate thoughts are:

1. What will happen to the Piper family shares?

2. What happens if Lever walks?

3. Will the lease of HDP be re-assigned to MFC?

and the biggest question of all..............

will the dream team of Gordon Wallis and Chris Kinnear return?

I'm glad to see the back of Piper and I think only good things can happen now but I have a feeling things will get worse before they get better.

unfortunately I think you miss the point here - i.e. Keith still has the majority of shares in the club therefore still has as much say as he did before. Nothing has changed , just a different angle of corporate attack methinks. With Pinns, Jay and god knows who ever else leaving this sinking ship i think our focus is being diverted to things that really dont concern us!

Yes. If he still keeps his shares, he calls the tune.

And who is going to want to buy shares in a loss making venture?

And somehow i cant see him giving them away.

I think this is a lot more important to the fans than Jay saunders etc leaving.

I pondered this queation to someone on the phone the other night.

I the story of the time was true then either the money was paid and KP kept the shares or the shares would have been handed back to Gordon Wallis and as I think that they would have been quite a large percentage of the shares it could make a big difference in the voting stakes.

However, I think that if Gordon had kept his shares then we would have heard something about it, ie. him being at the worlds shortest EGM.
