In fairness Hampton were very unlucky and Eastbourne were lucky. Usually you have to win the battle against Hampton to win a game, and Eastbourne did not but luckily for them Yaku and Hodges had an off night. Shame they never have when they face us!! Yaks always scored against us whether it be for Maidenhead or Hampton.

I watched the last 15 minutes. The first goal I think Lovett was culpable for. His supporters may say that he made a good save by turning a shot onto the crossbar. Problem for him was it bounced out to the 6 yard line and was tapped it. Were he a bit more mobile he'd have got to the original shot quicker and turned it over the bar. The second goal came deep into injury time with Hampton caught on the break (suspicion of offside) with Lovett beaten at his near post one on one. For such a tub of lard, he really didn't do a lot to fill the goal, but ultimately that one was not his fault.

Glen Harris came on with two minutes remaining to get an equaliser and fluffed a glorious opportunity to do so.

I was wondering the same about Ballard. However I notice there is a Dave Rainford playing for Dag & Red and scoring (mostly penalties). Surely not one our old "favourites" ?

We watched the whole game and to be fair I thought Hampton were the better side, but totally agree with Graham, Lovett crying and Glen Fluffing absoltely brilliant.
