Keep finding myself of losing track when talking to potential customers this week; the mind definitely isn't in the right place - and tonight's been the worst yet... Not sure how well I'll be working tomorrow evening. And as for another forum I post on big time, I can't really join in any conversations just at the present... at least most of the guys and gals there understand and will be cheering for the 'fleet on Saturday!

Ok, I just tried to watch the Aldershot Youtube video and had to turn it off at 2 mins 20 as the Bozzy scream started. Somebody said it sounded like a jumbo jet about to crash into the ground.

 

No way will I get through Sat with dry eyes. But doesn't that mean that it matters to us ?

 

For the brave, and those with tissues handy, here is the Aldershot second leg. 9 mins of joy, but watch out for 2 mins 20.

Its ok Harry, as I got an extra ticket for the daughter, I am one row back next to Manicscot & Co. "Liams Army" to the tune of flower of Scotland is one I must practice. look forward to seeing you Sal, the problem will be holding you back so you dont explode before 2.30pm ! .

I cannot wait to be walking down Olympic Way with all of the Fleet fans, chanting 'Oh When The Fleet'. That will be a tear-jerker and one to get the adrenaline going. Watching the Aldershot video now also sends a shiver down the spine... this is all still feeling a little surreal. Tomorrow night and Saturday morning will really hit it home. How many are expected on the train?

Well, guys, this'll be the last time I post before tomorrow as I'm preparing for a job interview as a Senior Research Nurse this afternoon, a big Powerpoint presentation to finalise.

 

It's been great chatting on with you all since the semis. The latest count reckons we sold approx 15,000 tickets after all. Like you, though, and perhaps even more so, there are plenty of people who will buy on the day.

 

Two things to finish, firstly have a laugh at this thread on our board about doing daft things for Wembley like buying inflatables!

The other thing is it's been great to see this thread develop the past couple of days. I remember well my feelings before our first visit to the old Wembley in 1989, let alone our other two visits. You're coming out with just the same amount of passion and enthusiasm!

 

Let's hope it's "The Friendly Final" with lots of handshaking going up Wembley (Olympic) Way, both before and afterwards. I get the feeling that we've both got friendly supporters not looking for bother, indeed, quite the opposite!

 

May the best team win on the day!

 

Up at 5.45 tomorrow to set off at 6am to drive the 300 miles south from Northumberland...
