Who'd have thought it?

Recommended Posts

Hi, don't normally post here but I thought I'd just like to say how crazy it is that we're competing in a Wembley final in 2 days time. I can see the Wembley arch from my office as I type, and it still seems a little surreal that we're going to be playing there very shortly.

Who'd have thought as recently as 2 years ago, when the "Daish out" brigade were in full force, when the transition from part to full time was resulting in negative football and poor results, that we'd be where we are now - established top half team, players/manager talked up as targets for league clubs (hands off!), and a lot of good results against 'big' teams (champions and all playoff teams beaten in recent times).

Of course the attendances are still sh*te, and there are concerns about the direction of the club under our new owners (though I'm still adopting a wait and see policy on this, far too many different positives and negatives to make a reasoned judgment at this early stage), but I just feel the need to express my gratitude for what Liam and the lads have achieved this season and last.

Now let's stuff Torquay and really make it a day to remember!
