Very true Ian.Keith may not have been everyones cup of tea but he has put time & effort into this club along the way as well as being a major supporter.
When all others ran away he was the one person left standing to fight for us. Right or wrong in some eyes,he was loyal. I for one thank him for his time,those efforts & his loyalty.I'm sure he will continue to be a true fan of this club in the future too.

If it's true then hopfully the club can now move forward. IMO it was time for KP to stand down from the board as things at the club had began to stagnate. I would however like to thank KP for all his work and efforts over a number of years some of which had been very difficult for MFC. IMO if it had not been for all of KP'S hard work and effort then i doubt that MFC would be back at Hartsdown Park if in existance at all.

I for one still hope that KP supports MFC and attends matches even thoughj he is no longer a board member. The same must be said for Colin Page another who has servged the club well through difficult times.

I would just like to say thanks KP and CP for all your work in ensuring MFC's existance and Good luck to you both for the future.

If you look back over the previous posts Steve, it comes from a personal phone call to Cookie from Keith Piper himself.

Cant blame him for doubting AB even though it was a personal call from Keith. Keith did the same last week about a statement if you remember & I got caught out there when nothing was said as promised. However this is something I certainly wouldn't make known if I thought it wasn't the case.

This has been confirmed by another forum user asking another board member who was at the meeting last night.

Why the club can't give out an "official" statement on THIS particular news is beyond belief.

She's back now.Everything that goes onto the website seems to have to be okay'ed by the Chairman & she is having a word with Malcolm about this at a board meeting tonight at 5pm.

In the meantime she tells me its been mentioned on local radio already.

I find it hard to associate the word loyal and KP in the same sentence.

It is going to be a very interesting summer and i cannot honestly say where that leaves the clubs future, but at least we don't have an arguing board.

The best thing now would be if Mr Piper gave his shares away either to MISA or to somebody who in return would invest large sums in the ground and team.

If that did happen and yes i know its perhaps unlikely he would become a bit of a hero overnight. And the club could really start to move forwards.

No.
But it is not all his money. And he would be getting something back in return,if hes a Margate fan, surely he will want to do what he can to stop the slide of the last few years.
Lets hope so anyway.
If he does he will prove all his doubters wrong and like i say end up being seen as a bit of a hero locally.
