So this time next week we should know what league we will be in. I cant see the league going for the 22 northern leagues i hope im wrong. But what i dont understand is how come TK hasnt put us in as one of the reprieved teams as edgware have said they have resigned from the ryman.

There is another calculation used as both us and Ilford were on the same number of points. On the calculation, Ilford had 16 points, we had 14 so they would be the first reprieved side. Only thing is, I don't know what that was!

Although the FA will be meeting next week to place teams in the appropriate divisions, the leagues will still have to meet to agree with what the FA have suggested.

 

This is apparently scheduled for early June.

Plenty of time yet for other clubs to disintegrate, AGMs to shuffle people about a la Dartford last season. Nothing is concrete until the season starts

As regards Ilford, there were supposed to be two teams relegated from Isthmian Div 1 North. Ilford and Wivenhoe finished bottom 2. Edgware resign, Ilford should therefore be reprieved.

Typical though, why can't they do things simple and just compare goal difference?

Surely what they should be doing is looking at how many clubs are in the Step 4 'pot' and then allocating as necessary when it's clear how many are going bust, merging etc - instead of just saving Ilford because they are in the same division? Still plenty of time to run on this.

Things aren't looking too rosy for Nuneaton at the moment from what I've read today, and although further up the pyramid, these things have a way of trickling down.

That's the thing I dislike about football. This has happened before and there are no set rules. We have the best 21st placed record and therefore should be repreived (and that's not me being biased, I would have said it if Ilford have a better record than us). The Premiership will be decided this year on goal difference, so why not this? Crazy and stupid...

Thing is though Chris, the Premier League sides have played the same teams throughout the course of the season so the goal difference is comparitive, ours and Ilford's isn't.

when bracknell were reprieved wasnt it because they had the best points total and goal difference from southern and ryman.

why dont you all shut up and take responability and realise you should be relegated coz your team was crap all season instead of thinking oh we are a big club so we should be saved..... get down and shut up
