Why isn't the Enfield manager or Paul Martin of Rumford on there?

My vote goes to Kris Taylor. Anyone who does what he has done without a budget must be an excellent manager. My second vote would then go to Paul Martin with Scopesy third.

What do you judge success on Anton? If Kris Taylor had a budget maybe he would have won 2/3 trophies. Finsishing second and pushing it all the way to the last day is a truly great achievement. Paul Martin in his first senior job has finished 5th with no budget. Again with a budget what could he achieve?

Scopesy handled the pressure well of being favorites and nearly delievered a treble, even so what he has done is excellent. However if Concord didin't have the budget would the same players be there? That's my point. Money brings better players, a bigger squad but also more pressure which is why I think Scopesy done well. Chester has done a great job at Manor but with the budget there is could more have been expected? Just a question.

sometimes it is harder to manager with a budget i.e. more pressure and expectation

I sort of agree Smallsy but at least with a budget you can get ready made players for the ESL. There is no way certain players at certain clubs would be there without the money.

I think Sixy will agree that the test of his management ability will be in the Ryman League when there will be more there 2/3 clubs with a budget, better teams, bettre players, more games. From what I saw of Concord against 'Side they need several players to make any impact on the Ryman...and of course bomb Trenks the fat bast**d and Healsy the big nose kent! grin

Everyone goes on about this big budget at manor, trust me we probably get paid less than any other club that pay, it's also chester first full season as manager, and he has done something no one else has done at the club so i would like to know why you think the Romford guy has done better than him.

My two boys by far !

Dead and buried three times and still come back to win it !

And all after a great vase run that would of fecked it for a lot of teams ! (ask Needham Market )

But you still pay Anton, yes? Would have certain players there if you didn't? I suspect no. Chester has had a season and a half and Paul Martin 4 months. Chester has been invovled with the first team for about 3 years. PAul has only managed at reserve level and there is a big difference.

All in all I think that with the resources on offer Paul has 'achieved' more. Having said that I still think Chester has done a great job but achievement is subjective isn't it? What has he done that no one else has? Won a trophy? Well it has been done before just a long time ago! grin

shows you dont know nothing jenko... i know of 5 players beening paid at the side...now that john has resigned from the side lets see how kris copes next season with no money and the romford guy has only been in charged for 10 or so games. when chester took over at the end of last season didnt maor go 9 games unbeaten taking points of brentwood and only lossing the last game of the season to barkingside after 4games in one week

The weather was too nice Anton I was over the park! grin

Rumford finished one place below Eton Manor with no budget.

EMFC13 you say 5 of the 'Side players are getting paid. How many are at the Manor and they finished higher!

As I said Chester has done a great job but achievement is alot more than trophies. When Kirk was manager in his first season he finished 7th with no money, no training facilities, no ground etc which was the highest finish for God knows how long. Is that not a great achievement?

Anton you definately playing Sunday? Stop arguing with me or you'll be on the bench! grin
