Who Should Be the New Manager?

As Browne is off soon where are we going to get a new Manager From?

Should we be looking for a manager from another club or should we take somone who is already involved with the club?

I belive that David Piercy is the man for the Job - He belives in the club and has attended more games and worked harder than Browne this season (not hard).

Get Majeski to buy the club and send back Super Mac to manage the boys, that way we might be able to get good young reading players rather than the [****!!****] clappeed out old guys we've been used to (and neighbours such as Mr Deaner's son)

The problem is attracting a decent/popular manager with the club in the present ownership and with the ongoing ground difficulties.

If (a big one I know) Mr Deaner could live up to his promises or there was a clear progress plan perhaps it would not be as much of a problem.

I suspect this is one of the reasons we have been lumbered with browne for so long.

My vote would go to David Kemp (unlikely he would want the job though). He managed the club on a tight budget and we were the only serious team contending with Wycombe for the conference that season. (If only Foran hadn't got injured....)

Also the classic banter between him and O'Neill when Wycombe postponed the original game at Adams Park when he said that Wycombe were frightened of Slough !!!!!! Excellent stuff ;-)

Lets face it who would want to manage the club with Deaner involved ??????

Perhaps it should be like Have I Got New For You with a different guest manager each week.

Seriously the potential choices will only get clearer when its sorted out who has the club. If Deaner, Browne and their whole crew are gone it should be possible to get someone with integrity on the cheap.

Some of the ex players from glory days now getting it a bit past it on pitch might be interested in working with a supprters trust. How about Mark West? Cliff Hercules?

Fiore in between injuries has been playing at the back for Flackwell Heath. It would take a whole bit of persauding to get him to risk burning his fingers after what happened 4 years ago. Same would probably go for the well stitched Paul Hardyman. But If the fans did get the club and wanted a pheonix from the flames restart he might be a good one to try for.

PLEASE BROWNE JUST GO AND LET LLTRUE REBS GET ON WITH PUTTING CLUB BACK TOGETHER.

If we've got the money to think higher then by all means lets do that, but Greene has made a piss poor team into a comptetive club at our level (as in Pyramid, obviously we'd wipe the floor with Windsor if we played them!) He's a good coach (alright, results have been poor in the last month) and that is most important in our division, not just the size of the purse. Obviously part of the success of Hornchurch has to be attributed to their ability to spend, but if they did not have somebody decent to coach them they'd be looking like a bunch of fat big-time charlies right now (and I'm trying my best not to mention gilkes and mcpherson last season at this point).

We've a decent bunch of players who with some good coaching rather than current incompetence we would have walked the league this year.

Dennis Green, a good coach? - do me a favour! While Windsor were looking good in the Trophy and League he had as bigger budget as you lot, since it was cut they have only won one in 11 games and that was only 2-1 against relegated Chertsey. I thought you lot were looking to improve but without spending unrealistic sums every week on your budget! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
