SPECIAL RESOLUTION - MFC Limited

As a minority shareholder in Margate FC Limited, I received, earlier today, notice of a Special Resolution concerning voting rights of shareholders.

 

The resolution itself was written in legalese and included an Agreement to be signed by each shareholder should they agree. (At least two of the signatories are deceased).

 

As with the previous notice of the EGM, I'm intrigued by the timing of this resolution. Is this to cover over any previous unauthorised share dealings or actions taken by director(s)which are not in accordance with MFC Limited's Articles of Association? And/or is it just another way of Mr Piper trying to wrestle control back from Messrs Bown, Painter and Rowlett?

 

Whatever the case maybe, I think shareholders should seek proper legal advice before signing anything.

I am guessinjg that this will form the basis of the promised club statement today.

 

I hope that there is a statement of 'why we are doing this' attached;to avoid unhealthy.doomladen and probably incorrect speculation which will otherwise occur
