Anyone fancy a trip back to the 1980s?

For those of you looking for an alternative source of entertainment over the next week now football has finished, Marcus and I will be treading the boards in Old Windsor next weekend if anyone fancies coming along.

The play is called The Continental Quilt and is directed by Marcus. The plot is as follows: Set in the 1980s, the era of ripped jeans, leg warmers and some of the world's cheesiest music, Mike Feather is looking forward to a quiet night in with new squeeze Julia - until his brother Dick descends upon his household.

Dick has been caught by his wife Marion attempting to have an affair with his beautiful next door neighbour Angela, and has come to Mike's to escape his wife's wrath.

Unfortunately, Marion's already there, hatching a plan to make Dick the jealous party for once by pretending to have an affair with Mike. Add to this Mike's parents deciding to stay, an old girlfriend turning up and two love-lorn if slightly odd neighbours, and Mike's small flat soon becomes rather crowded.

The play is being performed by Peters Players at the Memorial Hall in Old Windsor (on Straight Road opposite the Toby Carvery) on Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Doors open at 7:30pm for a 8:00pm start, refreshments will also be available.

A matinee will also be performed on Saturday - Doors open at 2pm for a 2:30pm start.

Tickets: Adults

Back to the original topic. Just been to watch the play and have to say it was very well performed. Some excellent acting and comedy timing in there. Well done to Marcus for directing and starring in it. Well done to both Charlie and Marcus. We're looking forward to the next one guys.
