last night

after a particularly ferocious lunchtime session i was feeling a bit thirsty at 5pm so i went into town to meet up with some of the chaps..i was planning on a few pints of stewing lager but ended up schooning the best part of 2 bottles of corny's house poo which had the desired effect..at 8pm it was do or die time hit the road or 80 notes on a cab at 3 am, fortunatly i bailed and got on the train with a mate of mine.. a group of loud 15 year old slappers got on, my mate jokingly said 'i hope your not going to be noisy, to em..big mistake , after 35 mins of them throwing things at him and calling him an old [****!!****] he got off at benfleet, natch i just pretended to be asleep..

anyway i get to my stop at westcliff (thats the very expensive part of southend to you northern monkeys).. this is where it all started to go wrong

option A .. go home get 8 hours kip impress missus by getting in before 3 am

option B .. go to the bell pub on the a127 which is and always has been a total tosshole to meet another mate

 

TAXI!!! er bell pub plse mate..

ok that was bad enough its now 11.30 pm and im wasted

option A .. go home get 5 hours kip impress missus by not falling over in kitchen

option B .. go to a party (on a wednesday!!) where i know there will be some thorns style action going down

 

ok its now 3am im playing cards, smoking 4 marlboro lights a minute im still thirsty for beer and i cant stop talking total bollox (i think thornsy will know where im coming from) anyway the bloke whose party it is, is a bit of a sarfend chap but his missus has bought one of those poxy rat dog things much to our amusement , the poxy little thing ate all the weed and went bonkers in the kitchen, i think it was dead when i left..

get back to mine with a mate. the missus (who actually likes this mate) gets up for a chat cos she is bored and cant sleep and gets the white wine out!! fking hell i get to bed at 4.30 am i get up at 5.50 am to go to work i think i may still be a bit drunk.. and im supposed to be having it at lunchtime as well..ugh stayed tuned i could be a bit lively this afternoon..

Finished work....Thameslink was f*cked.. brough 3 cans of scrumpy jack while I waited....went to pub ..... cloudy cider .... went to posh cafe, stole fake champers bottle.... asked many if they knew what day it was ..... went to another pub... flooded the loo ..... went to offy to see our pals ..... went to City .... argued with Vicki behind bar and then Chairman ..... alright up to then, I guess <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Dad rushed to hospital, spent last couple of hours of St.G day pissed on a ward .... still pissed this morning though, feeling a bit better now!

Certainly I preferred the Crooked Billet [undefeated at doubles crib in The Public Bar for 5 years, aged 16-21] to err.... errrr... err.. there are no pubs in Westcliff are there? What was that hole on London Road close to the junction with Hamlet Court Road. Probably a car showroom, now.

 

Oh, wait. There was that dump of a hotel at the bottom of Hamlet Court. The Queens? Rough.

heheh queens was quality now been knocked down and they are building an old peoples home on it..(bit different from the king kurt do's in there!!)

there is a new boozer at the top of crowstone road on the A13 a kind of pub bar cross.. i went there for the opening night, it dosent know what kind of place it wants to be yet.. a full cross section of the very best n worst of sarfend over all age groups packed in there..

as for leigh, yes the billet and peter boat are all very nice but i always prefered the ship...formica tables and a full on 70's decor..superb!!

leigh broadway is now 'the' place to be seen its buzzing!
