Pre-season friendlies

THis is the sort of thing that keeps supporters juices running during the summer.

Here are Dover's friendlies:

Charlton

Palace

Gillingham

Whitstable

poss

Folkestone

Dagenham and Redbridge

The Isthmian forum also gives Dartfords-again quite high profile.

Ok we are managerless, but it made no difference for the last two seasons.

We always start the season flat and carry on flat.

Then the board wonder why the crowds drop.

OK ,there is no manager-but i bet the board have not even given a thought to pre-season friendlies.

Its all part of the build up (and responsibility of running a club )

Totally agree. For years now we have not had a decent higher league club in a PSF. I think the last time was when we had West Ham at Hatsdown in a very entertaining match and a big crowd. If I'm not mistaken didn't Lee Turner save a Julian Dicks penalty?

High-profile friendlies against Premiership teams are usually arranged six months in advance. The other problem is that these days all these clubs go overseas pre-season so at best you'll get the reserves.

Margateshot, I think it was Kevin Hudson who saved the pen!

You are right CE-so i wonder who RT was lining up such friendlies with during the earlier part of this year;and they just required confirmation.

(on the other hand-perhaps another thing he just could not do or left too late )

I guess we will eventually get sone news of friendlies-no doubt no-one will currently take responsibility at the moment, and we will end up playing against Lower Snodland ladies reserve team.

On the brighter side-only about 8 weeks to wait-and i'm bored on saturdays already-garden looks better though-but can't be doing that every week.
