Oi ....Krooner

Recommended Posts

you never did answer my question,

Question for you Rattled, the player who punched/ handled the ball over the line did he get booked ???

NGU player did the same last night against Dorking the goal was awarded but he was still cautioned for un-sporting behaviour !!!

And that's the correct action by the official.

It is to detur out field players from handling the ball preventing a goal.

Wheres Krooner when you need the fat kent, one question all season and he's not here.........probs out to lunch since 10am and back about 4pm !!!!!

sorry just taken you off ignore !!!!!

The correct action is to caution the player for Unsporting Behaviour as that is what it was in trying to prevent the goal. Obviously he didnt prevent it so cannot be dismissed for preventing a goal scoring opportunity. It is there dear Teffs cos that is the Law of Association Football. I will ask two questions that have both happened to me in my time and see what people say.

A corner came across and an attacking player headed it goalwards. The ball is clearly going the wrong side of the post but the defender on the post handles the ball. What should I have done ?

A player tries to play a ball over the top of the last defender to a player who will be clear on goal. The defender jumps and stops the ball with his hand and at the same time the Asst ref is flagging the forward offside. What should I have done then ?

More like just finished breakfast !!!!!

At the time I spoke to Gordon who was assessing and he said it was the correct action and a strong decision as not many ref's would have done that, do you think it was because he was being assessed that he did it, 1st time i'd seen it done. Deliberate hand ball is a yellow card and that is what he did.

Award a free kick to the defending side as I'm guessing with your question the offside was before the hand ball, you then have two options me thinks either yellow card the player for deliberate hand ball or do nothing as the initial offence ruled the game stopped.

Remember I aint no kent referee, just my thought from playing the game poorly wink

1 - Quite right Teffs. I got a load of grief for only cautioning from the side I awarded the pen too. Ended up cautioning 2 of them for dissent. Finally one of them got it and sorted it out smile

2 - Free kick to attackers and yellow card to Defender. Because the ball never got to the attacker he couldnt be judged as offside. Only a caution because if it had he was offside.

On question 2, surely if he was offside when the ball was played he is deemed to be involved in the game and that is the 1st offence wether the ball got to him or not.

Is not the off-side law when the ball is played ??? Therefore it does not need to go by the defender !!!!

Law 11 - Offside

Offside Position

It is not an offence in itself to be in an offside position.

A player is in an offside position if:

he is nearer to his opponents

Decision 2

The definitions of elements of involvement in active play are as follows:

Interfering with play means playing or touching the ball passed or touched by a team-mate.

Tell you what Kroons I am going to get you to one of our pre season games so you can explain this law to the players along with any other fun laws of the game. Are you up for that ??
