Well, after that display who would you keep for next season? Some severe pruning is required imo so I would only keep the following:

 

Gledhill

Brown [edited by RTS]

Challinor

Lodge

Moran

Kean

Smith [edited by RTS]

Young

Martin

 

Oh and I would give the manager's job to Steve Castle with Freddie Hyatt as coach.

I personally would keep the following:

 

Wilmot - needs a cuddle

Smith - gorgoeous

Keane - really cute

Evans - he's a diamond

Simon Martin - just because he's lovely!

Craig M-S - he's a great little runner! Very fast and i really do think he could do well,

Deacan - also lovely! and is showing great determination!

Crawshaw - just to keep helen happy!

Miguel de Souza - he's also a little gem!

Challinor - he's a great one!

Barry White - Oh My God! He's gorgeous!!

Dereck Brown © - Also to keep helen happy - but he is good though!

Also bring back Rob Howarth! He's sooo lovely and when we spoke to him in the club last night he still remembers us! He was our first one! The first ever player that we hooked out sparkling eyes on and he's lovely! Blimey, we were only 16 maybe 15!

 

 

Manager - Danny Honeyball (I believe he will be available soon)

Coach and kit designer - Me

pom-pom girl - Helen!

 

I know that this may be a little far fetched, but it could happen!

Hi Rob.

 

It's a good job that I don't know anything about football.

 

No Crawshaw, Rob? No Brown? Naylor had a fine first half of the season. Gledhill?

 

The Management. For the last 9 games, Castle has dominated the technical area during matches and appears to 'warm-up' the team beforehand. Shrek has been playing, of course. Quite apart from the disappointment of falling short of winning the League, we have been playing the worst football of the season during this period.

 

I don't know anything about football.

I'm wondering if C.Hart would of kept Bob Dowie in his prime or wether he'd be disgarded for being ugly.

 

Rob Haworth is indeed a top bloke.

 

Craig M-S is a great little runner - Bit like my old Metro but will do the job about town (read reserves and bench) but wouldn't trust it to get me to Cornwall (read conference)

 

I'm not too convinced with the management team actually - We have played the Top 3 over the last month (because we are now out the Top 3 <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> ) and the record reads - Scored 3 Conceded 15. I'm struggling to remember a time when we were as bad as we are at present.

I wouldn't disgard anyone just because they're ugly. I don't know Bob Dowie so can't comment. Yes, i do say some of the players are gorgeous, in which most of them are, but some are just as gorgoeus because they are nice as people they shine through way better than if they looked, say, like Justin or Will, or Robbie etc...

I bet if you asked me who i thought was the most fancible player on that pitch, i bet you i wouldn't come up with the most obvious answer!

No! I'm not like that! I wouldn't be so shallow as to comment on that and i wouldn't lower myself to that level! Why has it got to be about size anyway, it isn't important!

It isn't about that, God, doesn't anyone just want to comment on the players actions on the pitch?

Anyway, why has size, sex, or bulges got onto this conversation anyway? I didn't mention anything like that, i just put down who i would most like to be in the team next season!

Coming from a more serious perspective, i really do think that the players are probably quite tired now, and possibly they have forgotton the way each other plays?

 

I know that a good team requires good team work and maybe this isn't happening at the moment?

 

A good team player should know what his team mate will do and where the ball is going to go.

 

Also, the defence could possibly need a little work, the midfield is good, but forward and attcking could be improved. get into spaces, and chase the ball. Don't wait until it has got to your feet to start running, go and chase the blooming thing and get it, keep hold of it and shoot it at goal!

 

I know it isn't as easy as it sounds, but i can't stand the fact that some of the players just wait until the ball goes somewere near them rather than chase it and want to get it. This really does annoy me - but then again, what ever i say aint gonna make no difference, it's just my point of view. I'm sure others would possibly disagree with this view, and like-wise i would disagree with them, but honestly, i really would keep Wilmot. Not because Helen thinks he has a nice bum, but because i think he has done really well over the past few seasons, and i think he is the only one that doesn't give up, and i realy do think that he gives 110% every game.

 

And when i say he needs a cuddle, this is because he always looks so upset when we have a bad result.

I didn't say anything about too many cooks!

 

I disagree with Gibbo's suggestion in the programme that the performance of the players is anything to do with the title being race over and the lack of a play-off system. Neither do I agree that once the players cross the white line it's up to them etc. I can't believe that the team has been sent out to play the way they have been performing for the past couple of months.

 

I appreciate that t'lads are footballers but even so. They don't reach this level without being very competitive as individuals and at the moment, they are not delivering. If any of them go out onto the pitch thinking "I'm not going to put myself out tonight", then they can push off and ply their trade somewhere else as far as I'm concerned.

 

I assume that there are one or two players that are 'surplus to [Cookies] requirements' for next season. If they are amongst those who are not giving 100%, the Cookie should get rid of them now. Today. And make it clear to the rest they they can go too if they don't perform. Bring in a couple of the Reserves/fringe players for the last two games and get on with it. It can't be worse than last night.

surely should have been yesterday, as in months ago..

interesting to contrast the international friendly and the last few "proper" games
