Goal of the season?

- Sammy's volley on the opening goal of the season after a Michael Gilkes long pass.

 

- Veli's curling shot into the top corner past Rob Bullivant against Northwood to win the match.

 

- Sammy taking the ball past both Ryan Kirby and Tony McNally before curling the ball past Gavin King into the top corner of the net against Harlow.

 

- Gilksey's late free-kick against Wingate away into the top corner of the net.

 

- Andrew Deaner's strike from the half-way like against Kingstonian.

 

- Ryan Williams half-volley into the back of the net against Northwood away when a Gilkes cross was headed back from Spencer.

 

- Williams curling shotinto the top corner of the net that seemed to be going miles wide and hit the top corner of the net.

Andrew Deaner's genius surely has to win the day, a glorious effort, though I have to agree with Gary (bad I know) about the Wivenhoe own goal. It made the long trip (2 long trips no less) worthwhile, even in the cold.

3) Wivenhoe - the funniest goalkeeping blunder I am ever likely to see in the flesh

Deaner's goal against Kingstonian, not the least bcos I think he intended it to happen.Made all the more enjoyable as someone had just said "If Deaner sacores, I'll eat my hat"
