Has McKimm thrown his hat into the ring.

Is there also MS and MB ?

 

 

Have the local bookmakers got any odds going ?

 

Maybe we should have a new prediction league as to who will be the next manager.

 

Would be good though if the club could announce their decision imminently and beat us to it.

 

The early appointment is so vital imo

Let me see now, how will this poisoned chalice pan out?

 

The new manager will be announced, amongst lots of publicity with quotes galore somewhat on the lines of (choose any or all) big club, family club, football league, potential, youth, experience, fanbase,new stadium, bright future etc. etc.

 

Signings will be announced or else friendlies (which will be late and against lower league teams in the main) will see a procession of players who may or may not appear at the next one.

 

Fans will endlessly discuss and debate which players we should sign, but the team that runs out on the first day will bear little resemblance to the wish list.

 

Before the start of the season everyone will say that a consolidation is what is required, and that a comfortable mid-table finish is just the ticket following all the upheaval, but a good cup run would be nice.

 

We may win or draw the first few games and then everyone will say that promotion and winning the league is entirely possible.

 

Then if we lose a couple of games, or go out of the cups in the early rounds there will be torrents of blood-letting and abuse and the season will become all too familiar again.

When did Margate fans claim that they would be happy for a mid table finish and then turn on the manager when we suddenly found ourselves with a chance only to lose our way with a few bad results

 

 

Oh yes the season just finished thats when

I think Mr Edinburgh is somewhat out of our league-and is at (Woking ?) anyway.

 

i reckon it will be a manager from a Ryman south club who gets the job.

Just hope he or she can organise a defence and retain the current crop of players who are good enough-just needed organising

With the very little knowledge i have, i was very open minded to whoever is appointed-but did not really anticipate us going back to the likes of CW-and frankly-suggest there must be a better opportunity out there

I can't work out why they interviewed him, even if it was only for five minutes. Anybody with even a passing interest in other local (Kent) clubs would surely know his record's not up to much. Certainly Dover and Ashford fans couldn't wait to get rid of him.
