got u looking, but seriously who the hell is gonna take over a team with the Boardroom at loggerheads and the team cut to ribbons before the end of the season??? Lots of names being bandied around - just seems to me that our downward spiral has become a kamikaze dive to Ryman South or dare I say it total obscurity - please noooooooo (only chance I have of having a laugh on a saturday afternoon/tuesday night).

It seems to me that the boardroom stuff is being massively overegged.

Its not ideal-but many teams at this level have major close season changes-and it may even be of greater appeal to a new manager that he can bring in alot of his/her own playersm (personally-i'd like to see all the current squad retained as i am convinced they are good enough and just need sensible organisation and leadership.

I reckon lots of managers will be very interested,so don't panic just yet. but agree totally that an early appointment is essential.

Best not mention our defence or Trotty otherwise this new man will revert back.Just kiddin Michael. But seriously, it IS good to hear some positivity on this. Despite it all looking glum I too believe we'll come though this. There, thats TWO of us now.

I have to agree with you MM, things have not really turned out too bad over the last few days. Perhaps we can just move on with a new board of directors and concentrate on the football. As I said earlier, there are a lot of good managers out there at the moment and we are still potentially a big club. I think the main reason that there has been so much unrest is that over the last 10 years we have tasted success in the FA cup and Conference, and we proved that we could hold our own at that level, both in the team and support. I think that we averaged 1300 in the last season we were there, more than several in the Conference now.

I've always said that positive thought is useless and gets positively nothing

Positive action is what get results.

The board have taken positive action in not renewing trotts contract so there is now a reason/justification to be positive.Just need the next stage-a half sensible early appointment-surely no-one can be worse.

Nice to see you are trying to keep up the chins of a fair few amount of people , but its not just the surport on here reading the reports of the fans in the local today makes for sad reading as well when asked about the club they surport . The easiest thing to happen would be for someone from the club makes a statement over the next few days telling us exactly what is going on so all the hipe and negative attitude can stop . If they care about us then maybe this could be done , if we hear nothing then there is one answer Answered . If they have there heart in the club then why don`t they prove it for once and for all . Up the Gate .

Do you work for Mr Lever MM? Have you seen the plans for the new ground? Have you worked out how Mr Lever is going to get his return? Suggest you take a look at the post by Pagey. It refers to the Lease that MFC doesn't have.

You both may well be right-but lets be honest here-2 years ago-we were very grateful to him for investing to get football back at HDP.

How many of us then-really cared-or understood about longer term possible issues.

'We could not have our cake and eat it'.

Perhaps we were wrong not to care at the time-but somewhat hypocritical for supporters to start bleating now-we are all wise in hindsight. You now have to put trust in people to make the best out of the situation for all parties-and again-to date-there is no concrete evidence that i am aware of to suggest such trust is mis-placed.

If the worst came to the worst, i am sure Thanet District council would have an overiding interest and irony of ironies-Mr EZekiel could then become a hero of margate supporters.

Since then, i do not see that he has done anything wrong.

To be fair-anyone who has invested the sums reported, is going to want some sort of 'leverage'-who can blame GL for that.

maybe,if he is now a board member-he may be more willing to relinquish some of the hold you suggest he has.

There are always ways to work things through-you just need to find them and have commitment to resolve matters

Well one bit of news that came out of the MISA committee meeting last night which may help is that, despite the board problems, there have been applicants and a short list has been drawn up, so all still steaming ahead with this. Hope this info helps in a small way.
