Dream team to play against in a Pre-Season

Who would you like to see play aginst your team in a Pre-Season game and Why?

 

I would choose Reading FC 1st team/Res, to show the royals what true support is (chanting and drumming no matter what the score is.) It would be great way of advertising the Town and getting more support down at Scours Lane.

i would like to see a four club tournament, Dorking fc, Dorking Wanderers and Bookham plus an all star surrey elect xi.

Not a bad idea if TSF was being serious, possibly not though! . Leatherhead as the fourth team. I think Epsom do something similar with teams local to them.

the mole valley charity senior challenge four way pre season trophy sponsored by the spurs fan has a nice short ring to it

 

four teams , 2 x semi finals one weekend, finals and Plate 2nd weekend, one game on each ground am and pm.

 

peace and goodwill all round.

 

pre season chance for everyone to mingle, meet the new players, officials , advertisers, sponsors etc.

Actually being an ex-resident of Mole Valley, that 4 way cup idea does sound good. There could also be a Reigate & Banstead tournament for Merstham, Redhill, Banstead, Chipstead and Horley*.... or maybe not.

I'm sure we'd be interested but I would change it so it happends over one weekend, semis on the Saturday, final and 3rd/4th play off on the Sunday

As a Mole Valley resident the Advertiser trophy has been played between Leatherhead and Dorking as they were the 2 highest ranked clubs but with DFC's impending relegation perhaps the fixture sould go to Bookham.

At step 7 why would Dorking Wanderers get the gig if it is expanded to 4 teams as Ashtead are also Step 7.

How about Ashtead v D.Wanderers winners to play Leathrhead in semi with Dorking v Bookham in the other.

Epsom & Ewell held the first Dave Wilson Trophy at Merland Rise last Summer and hosted it extremely well. It involved Epsom, Banstead, Molesey and Corinthian Casuals.

 

1st semi Tuesday night

2nd semi Thursday night

3rd/4th play off Saturday 12pm

Final Saturday 3pm

 

All done and dusted in 1 week. Is a guaranteed 2 matches for all four clubs as well

 

I believe they are running the same this Summer
