Reminder: Awards night this Thursday

Hello everyone, a quick reminder that this Thursday sees the return of a race night and the presentation of the Club's end of season awards.

 

 

Held at the Polish Club on Thursday May 1st, the night starts at 8PM. Punters are invited to participate in 8 races and horses can be sponsored for just

The presentations will be taking place at around 9pm in the race night interval.

as i wasnt able to make it can someone fill me in as to who won what awards wise please?

Lee Riddell won Trust player of the season. Steve Daly was runner-up.

 

Daly won the players' player award.

 

There was also an award for Kevin McGoldrick.

Well done to Lee, Steve, and Kevin on their awards.

There was also a special award for Andrew Dean, club doctor (i think i got his name right). Steve Easterbrook and Roy made short speeches, and Lee Riddell presented some presents from the lads to the support staff (Paul and Kev).

 

The ladies who walked to Fleet were all presented with flowers by the players, as was Sue for her efforts at the club shop. There were a few more flower presentations but i'm afraid i don't know the ladies' names... could someone help me out? They were for services as a fan to the club and helping the management committee.

Steve Daly say if he was continuing or retiring next season?

well he didn't make a big announcement or anything so i'm assuming he's at least considering staying for next season. I for one, hope he stays, he's been a real rock at the back this season and provides some much needed experience. And of course, he's a fans favourite and a real gent and would be a great loss to the club.

would be good to have at least 1 more season from him and get himself nearer and nearer the all time appearance record

I know that Debbie and Rachel Lillywhite also got flowers and a present, for running the hospitality all season.

Also special awards to Noreen Bridle , Who attend all the Slough Matches both Home and Away attendends all the Slough Town Supporters Trust Fuctions , Town Hall Protests and meetings.....and wins the 50/50 draws and donates the money straight back to the club !
