Trust money

Recommended Posts

Good call.

It was never my intention to provoke debate amongst the money grabbing element of MYFC, and it appears there are a fair few.

I was merely trying to find out the next project to be supported by the Trust - a new heavy roller, new hair dryers for the players, new soap in the sniper toilets or a bit of cover for those queueing for a famous gristle burger and soggy chips.

MYFC's input into this debate is unwanted, unless they are regular supporters and trust members.

In other words, a message to MYFC, it's none of your business, go back to your own secret little forum and play closet Freemasons there.

BTW, have you got funny handshakes yet to identify yourselves to each other?

They have - they extend the index finger of their right arm in the direction of a Fleet player, and utter the secret oath "Who's that?"

I take exception to your remarks Gary. Who are these money grabbing MYFC members. Name names and put your money where your mouth is.

I joined MYFC to help the club and keep tabs on what,s going on, as did many more of the Fleet faithful. Where were you this afternoon while the PASE lads had on of their biggest matches. Whinging at home I suppose dreaming up more insults.

I don't suppose you will be there next Wednesday evening either. You will come up with another lame excuse.

Sorry, Bill but I'm not in the MYFC lodge. Cannot access their secret forum, unlike the fact they can get on here.

But as HJA has already said, my post caused quite a stir - it would imply that MYFC chappies want to know all the ins and outs of the trusts fundings.

You are in MYFC, perhaps you could have a peep at the forums to find out what they want with the trust money?

Frankly it is none of their business, as Riverview Supporter rightly said, as long as the Trust remains independant.

Does this qualify as a money grabbing MYFC member?

Can I ask a couple of questions and maybe a member of the Fleet Trust could answer -

How much money does the Trust have in it's accounts (the post mentioned thousands)?

Where did this money come from?

Did the money include profit from merchandise sold to MyFC members?

Does the Trust intend to forward money to the club in the near future and, if so, how much?

I am a bit perturbed at the suggestion that the Trust should hold onto the money in the event that MyFC goes belly up - especially given that some of it is the result of MyFC members buying merchandise in the club shop which the Trust run for the club (as indicated in the following post)

The question is, do the trust keep the money for a rainy day, lest this whole MYFC thing goes belly up after a year or 2 (in which case the money would be very handy to rebuild the club),

Can a member of the Fleet Trust indicate if discussions have taken place in this vein and, if so, what consensus have the Fleet Trust arrived at?

I believe these questions are valid given that three members of the MyFc board are members of the Fleet Trust."

Just a question.

I do not believe anyone in MyFC is in any way minimising the work or intent of the Fleet Trust.

Problem for MyFC members is as follows -

MyFC members were given the clear impression that if they purchased merchandise in the club shop then the club would directly benefit. MyFC members who purchased merchandise since last November have contributed no small sum to the Fleet Trust coffers. There was never any indication that the profits from the shop would be held in the Fleet Trust accounts indefinitely. Now it appears that this is the case - money is be held in the Trust accounts and is not being used to benefit the club at this moment in time. Furthermore, some people on here and on the MyFC forum are suggesting that this money should continue to be withheld until such time that MyFC goes 'belly-up'.

MyFC has been open about its intent in every way about the club including in financial terms, will publish full accounts in about two weeks, will (in all likelihood) set an incresed playing budget for next season etc. MyFC members were intent on involving the Fleet Trust and pre-MyFC supporters in MyFC, so much so that they elected a majority of them on the MyFC Board. Harry stated today that this was an issue of trust. It is - and MyFC members have demonstrated that trust. However, some would now argue that the Fleet Trust have not demonstratd the same level of trust towards MyFC. I myself still have an open mind on this issue - but to be honest - some of the commnets on this thread have not helped.

MyFC members have always been of the opinion that MyFC has to prove itself and earn the support of the pre-takeover fans. But this works both ways. Local fans are going to have to trust MyFC and its desire and intent to help develop and progress this club. Some people on here suggest that this is purely a matter for members of the Fleet Trust. I have consistantly argued that MyFC members should not join the Fleet Trust and it should remain a vehicle for expressing the concerns of the pre-takeover supporters and other local supporters. But how would the current members feel if a large number of MyFC members joined the Fleet Trust, got elected to the Trust Board and voted to make all monies available to the club immediately. Or how would the members of the Fleet Trust feel if, as a result of this issue, MyFC members decided to remove the facility of operating the club shop from the Fleet Trust. These are valid points and are not intended to provoke conflict between MyFc and the Fleet Trust - but both these suggestions have been made to me today.

If members of the Fleet Trust want to work with MyFC members then MyFC will bend over backwards to facilitate their involvement. But the members of the Fleet Trust also have to be willing to meet MyFC members half way and not be so dismissive of their concerns. The Board of the Fleet Trust should address this issue and make it clear what the situation is, what their attitude is towards MyFC and what their intention is for future relations with MyFC.

That's quite unfair, 2pm on a weekday is not going to be accessible for most people here. People have commitments.

Yes, agreed. I had to miss double Stella in order to have double Strongbow !! No Greeks or Romans in sight ! ( Joke...before anyone cops the right raving !!)

It felt quite strange to be the only one at the Swanscombe End in the first half & the only one in the Plough End in the second half ( apart from a young lady reading a book)...at least no one got on my t*ts, so to speak !

Cheers,

Sometimes you talk sense, Bill, other times tripe.
You do a lot of supposing, most of it totally wrong.

That's what you don't understand, the money will go directly to the club. Have you got any projects in mind? Oh but wait..., your not a Trust Member. If you were you would be able to make recommendations. These recommendations would then be voted, quee MyFC joke, on by the members of the Society. You seem to understand it when it's MyFC.

I've spent the after saying exactly this on MyFC just in various different ways. I know how the place works now. Someone asks something, you reply, they come back, then don't shut up and then you just repeat what you said ad nauseam until the thread gets locked.

Also can you ask your mate Will why he wanted my mobile number? Tell him if he wants me for the night then I charge
