A way out of the mess!

This forum has made sad reading for all Margate fans recently. And for anyone who truly cares about the non league game.

A split board with the suspicion that a couple of people just want to get as much financially as they can.

 

Most fans feel really powerless in all this. But both sides of the split board will want your support.

What i think would be good is if the ordinary fans had at least one representative on the board. And smaller shareholders also had a representative.

Imagine if Cookie and JJ for example were voted oon to the board what effect it could have.

 

I think it could help communication with all the fans and help to improve relations with the council and fa.

 

These are really worrying times for all margate fans and both sides of the board need to recognise that the football club needs the full support of its fan base.

'Ordinary fans' are just as likely to get drawn into boardroom politics or be self-serving as anyone else.

no one would give us one little share of the club but it would be a great idea if someone could still sit on the board .

How about a AFC Margate or FC United of Margate . A club run by the fans for the fans .I am sick of these prats and their ego,s .

Ok yesterday was a bit of a non event-but as most of us are not shareholders anyway-are we really affected.

 

It would have been more farcical to have continued with an illegal meeting.

 

Surely the fact that a compromise has been reached re:GL being on the board makes sense;and if there is to be a fans representitive at most meetings, that is good.-although i read on another thread that a couple of supporters- question how-with some validation this appointment was made.So if supporters are questionning things after 5 minutes,and asking if the process was correct-is it any different to the board similarly debating appointments. Just need to bew a bit careful of pots/kettles and black maybe ?

 

Give the guys a chance.

Tx for the vote of confidence. Regrettably, I haven't got a spare 2 million to ask Mr Lever to leave. But I may have enough in the kitty to suggest to Mr Piper he should spend more time with his family.
