Martin
Does Derek have a particular number of friendlies he would like in mind? How many more are you hoping to arrange?
Chris
By the look of it Derek will be taking a look at a fair few trialists, which is good. That or the first team are in for some very touch early season work!!
Tom
Either way, that's better than last seasons - "We're not worried about results we're just getting fit" attitude.
Mr Rebel
yeah its refreshing to see pre-season fixtures being set up this quickly. much better preparation going into next season whatever league we may end up in
A Rebel and a Saint
It's good to see some preseason games appearing, would there be any chance of getting a game or two against step 4 clubs? Will there be much chance of a home friendly again this year? We could end up playing one of those teams next season if we are put in the hellenic or combined counties league next season, so would be good to see how we compare going into the season. If we work it properly this year we could be strong going into the season, which would be a good change after last year. I think the focus should be trying to keep as many players from the squad from Saturday and the previous few matches - which could be hard if relegated - and then building on that. GarySTFC
Obviously some of the above fixtures will be dependant on what league we end up in. We will have at least one home friendly slot, although at present, we are not sure of the date(s) when we would have the ground. When we know which league we are in we can arrange some more. Mr Rebel
personally i think its good that despite not knowing what league we will be in and being left to wait for now, we have a good start in terms of friendly fixtures organised.
