Confused from Stroud

Hello Mr. Confused.I agree it does seem confusing. Maybe this was ONE item on the agenda that WAS a compromise as one WAS mentioned at the outset. As for reasons other than that I cant comment any further. It'll all come good in the end I'm sure of it.

I will answer as many questions as I can, if anyone has any post on here.

the three could vote piper off at a board meeting should they wish but they don't want to

The EGM wasnt just to appoint Levy it was also to appoint Prosser and gain control of the boardroom

The three do not have a problem with Levy sitting in on board meeting but thought it was a conflict to have him on the board. They have agreed to have him on the board as a concession

If Levy and Prosser had been put on the board then KP would had voted the three off at the next board meeting

the next EGM is to sack the board and then reappoint KP, CP Prosser and Levy all off which are directors in the development company

My Major concerns are how the hell did anyone let a property Developer become a major shareholder in the club and most importantly give him the lease.

Now who do you think has the club at heart. The three who set to gain nothing, or the others who are also involved with the development company

Frankie, the current confirmed debt in unquantified as the most recent accounts submitted is 2005. The 2006 accounts have been prepared and are being discussed, but even these are two years old so dont give an up to date figure

The important thing now is that they all need to get together and work for the good of the club. Hopefully with GL on board it may become more professional. If the building starts in July, as it has been stated, then I think people will have a bit more confidence in the club as a whole. As for GL being a property developer I don't think that is a problem. I think that when the club is developed, along with the 5-a-sides, it will be commercially viable, which is what GL wants. If the worst did happen and he did pull out, I cannot see Thanet council allowing any other development on that site. I know people will disagree with that comment, and we can all remember Maidstone, but I'm sure that will not be allowed to happen. I think that if GL had a different agenda he would have made KP an offer he couldn't refuse for his shares, and would have taken over the club as a whole. He could then have done what he wanted. He seems to have been very supportive throughout and he does have a right to protect his investment, which has already been a vast amount. The crucial thing now is that we appoint a manager as soon as possible. As we still have a board this should be done before the EGM in two weeks, and there are some quality managers out there at the moment looking for clubs.

Like many others I know nothing about the personal arrangements between club and players. However, my understanding is that whether or not there is a written contract may be immaterial. A verbal agreement which can be proven will surely be upheld in law and therefore unless we really know what that agreement was then my feeling is that comments on it are pointless.

For those of you who might not know Alan, he does the gate at all the Reserve matches and also takes the monies for our stand at 1st team games. A nice bloke and on the ball.

A good move by the club then. This was a condition with the re-formation at Aldershot in 1992, which has been stuck to ever since. I believe the representative would attend all meetings but would leave when board matters and financial decisions were made.

I understand that the next meeting of Misa had been called for next Tuesday 6th of may at 7-30.

What is the purpose of this meeting and why have not all committee members been notified.
