Would you be willing to pay small part of a new players wages every month by direct debit ?

This thread has been started at the same time on both the Focus & MYFC Boards. The idea comes from a chat with Will yesterday on the terraces. Then after asking a few fans and getting a positive response, I am starting this thread.

The idea is this.

A group of fans, old and new , MYFC & Non MYFC agree to pay the wages of a new player by paying a small amount to the club each month by direct debit.

How Much ?

Well if you work on the assumption that a conference player is on a working mans wage, I would think that about

I personally think if MYFC want to do that with some of the money they have, then they can go ahead and do it.

But I don't think you can ask anyone else to pay money towards the wages. It doesn't seem right to me. The existing fanbase are already paying

Once again, I give you lots of credit for your commitment to Ebbsfleet United and top marks for all the different ideas coming through.

Your idea of paying players wages through MyFC members and non-MyFC members... This I can see working, but I think maybe you're asking too much money to be donated towards players wages per month. I can see quite a few MyFC members donating, as most of them cannot attend all or some matches.

And as Hannah's said, non-MyFC members and regular supporters are already supporting the club financially and will struggle to give money towards this concept. People pay their

There is another problem, one that MyFC themselves have highlighted already... Very easy to start something, but how do you convince people to continue with the plan? Its all well and good people paying the guys money for the first few months, but how can you ensure that his wages are paid for the entire length of his contract? Especially if he doesn't regularly get first team exposure...

ps - Good to meet ya yesterday YF...

The Fleet Trust have actually paid players' wages in the past. Given the appalling attitude displayed to the Trust in recent months and highlighted again yesterday, don't hold your breath that this will be agreed again. It can be discussed of course but frank and transparent answers about the financial position of the club will need to be revealed first.

EUFC have not, but that other club GNFC did. Please do not forget about our past.
I believe James Smith is the only current squad member we splashed an initial outlay on.
