Reading Town 2-0 Bookham match report & match vid

Recommended Posts

Reading Town won today 2-0 against Bookham yay. Reading Town started well creating a few chance to score but failed to find the net. At the other end Bookham were testing Scott Hodgetts with some decent shots on goal. Reading Town were still looking for the opening goal and finally got it when Ray Spence slotted past the Bookham keeper to make 1-0 to the hosts. Bookham still looked a threat on the attack but they failed to find the back of the net.

Second Half: Reading Town dominated the second half and had a few shots on goal to test the Bookham keeper. Bookham themselves did have some shots in the second half but rarely ever threatened Scott Hodgetts goal. Reading Town were putting some lovely crosses into the box but couldn't find the goal they wanted. Then a cross came in from the right which was met by Ian Brooks which he looked like he was setting himself for a shot but instead passed it to Ray Spence on the left and he had a shot but was well saved by the Bookham Keeper. From the resulting corner the keeper fumbled the ball and the ball came out to Ian Brooks, he was just about to shoot but was fouled by a Bookham and the referee gave a penalty. Ray Spence took the penalty and scored to make it 2-0 to the Town.

Sorry Baddie it was rude of me but I was at the game today, (reserve keeper)but have been in a foul mood all day and had to keep my distance from your continuous drumming hairout, fair play in the match report the only thing missing was the ref who not surprisingly wanted I felt to be center of attention again.

In truth that was not the reason we lost, we were beaten by the better side on the day and with me, the manager and coach as the subs we where down to the bare bones.

Good luck in the Hellenic league next season and keep banging the drum excited
