I must agree that Eastwood is a decent centre half.Every time he has played for the reserves he has played well,I know its a different level but it does give an indication of a players ability.I have heard him called a Sunday league player but I can assure you that he is better than that,he has shown that he can perform at first team level.With Eastwood Smith Young and the youth potential and some good coaching (ie dont give away stupid free kicks in the final third),I think were ok in that position.

I hope Young is given the chance to sign for next season.

 

Another player who will be better next season,because of this seasons experience and i trust a manager who has got a bit of a better idea.

can't see us being able to afford any better than Young .

 

As you say, with Young,Eastwood,Smith and even Weatherley (i mean Wheatley ),there is a nucleus of reasonable central defenders who must surely do better collectively next season
