Walk collection?

What are the chances of getting to do a collection at the match on Saturday, maybe at half time? I can bring my flag and we could do a lap of the pitch/terracing to collect money for the walk fund. I'm assuming we would need to get Fleet's permission to do this?

Charlie has been on the Fleet forum and said we will be collecting. It's going to feel like a home game anyway!

Dont want to seound like a kiljoy, but why would Fleet fans want to

give our club money. Personally I would give to charity but would probably prefer to give money to my own club rather than another club. Just a thought.

It might be a waste of time, but it will also give our own fans, who have not sponsored us, thge oportunity to throw in a few pence as well

Well its something that generally happens. Its not causing harm is it, no one is forcing anyone to give anything.

Because most clubs don't and should not have an 'I'm all right jack' philosophy because sometime in the future they might have to go round with the begging bowl.

i'd be more than happy to throw a few quid for the walkers effort. would be a shame if Fleet do not let this happen. if their fans dont want to put anything in thats up to them

Worthing were generous as well I recall. At this level we tend to help each other out, it's called the spirit of non-league football, there is some prats but not many!

Grandad got it spot on i think, lovers of non-league football are generally on the whole good natured and generous.

I certainly wouldnt begrudge any club some change if they had fallen on hard times.
