It all depends on the money situation really. Maybe someone like John Moncur? He is out of contract this season and couldn't demand much of a salary being his age. Good replacement for Locke. Actually how about Tony Dorigo?? Nah just kidding. There is a good New Zealand player about called Noah Hickey who would be a quality signing. Not sure where he is these days though.

why sign all these new players we have good youth coming through we've got to start giving them the odd chance or they are going to leave us.

Yeah I agree with you regarding John Moncur, I think he would be a good signing. Also, with a signing like him, you could find it attracts more supporters to the club, coming to watch someone perceived to be a "name". Whatever though, I think a few extra signings will be needed to achieve our third consecutive promotion next season.

Glad you agree with me on that Lord. It might be a bridge to far to sign him in all honesty but we would have said that about Dmitri as well. I'm sure he would like to link up with Jonah again and he is fairly local. Yes, it is quite important to get a good name in the summer as it is uqually important that the attendances go up next campaign. A name like Moncur would do just that.

I spoke to 'hair dryer' about Beckham....I'm afraid we cant have him for a few years yet......!!

 

as for the yonger players coming through....well...yes...there is a rich vein of talent at the club currently but you can't just put these kids into a level to high to quickly....it can destroy their confidence and ruin their careers....softly softly is the game in that respect.....

 

personally I'm not to sure that we dont already have a team capable of a promotion campaign next season....but....caution whispers to me......

as i understand some of the youth already play for the reserves surely a sub appearance here and there can only aid there progression.
