This Play Off Bug !

Hi Guys,

 

Just a quick note to wish you all the best in your game this weekend, hopefully you will do the business and qualify for the play offs. Hoping to get to see one of your games should you qualify.

We are involved in our own play off drama and hope to seal our place tomorrow night, we need to better any result that Stevenage get!!

 

Hopefully a Cambridge and Canvey double this week, i'll drink to that!!

Bloody play offs mean i have got to stay overnight in Cambridge to open the ticket office on Sunday morning!!

We play at Northwich on Saturday, should be a great party atmosphere now the game doesnt mean that much to either side.

 

Canvey spur, you wont dissapoint. The support you guys have given the club to even keep it going deserves promotion alone.

Well thanks for the info lads. Not a peep !

 

I spent all day biting my nails, would we finish 2nd, 3rd or 4th and would my beloved Canvey stay in the play offs.

I had to drive home via Burton to collect play off tickets, stay overnight in Cambridge (at a hotel with no bar), spend 6 hours on a Sunday selling tickets and still didnt know how you had done.

Just got home and my weekend is now complete. That drink is now going down very well.

Another play off double success anyone ??

To be honest Wayne, I was all over the place Saturday!! This playoff lark is all new for me..!

TBH its a new thing to us all. I was on the terraces with our directors yesterday afternoon, reminiscent of our last day at Halifax if you remember.

 

Only last year my wife said why couldnt i find a team that would not face relegation, this year is even more terrifying. The pressure is unbearable!

I will not be able to get to Sudbury but if you are at home on Saturday i will be able to attend. Setanta rule the roost these days in the Conference and we have to play at Burton on Friday evening and then at home on Tuesday.

 

If we get to Wembley i assume you will attend and support the Canvey ex pats?

 

Yellow and Amber would look good together !!!

Didn't realise they were playing the Conference play off final at Wembley this year. Thought they were still playing it at Stoke City.

 

What date is the final?

The final was at Wembley last season as well Powelly when Morecambe won it.

 

Final is on Sunday 18th May - would definitely try and make it there for that one.

My thoughts exactly as i was walking round Wembley this morning. lol

 

Behind the scenes are truly amazing, i got some great pics. Just hope we can get there and see a game. That in itself would be fantastic.
