How many of you think Mr Keith Piper is way past his sell-by date, and if not why not?

Would be good if he did fall on his sword. But i doubt if that will happen. He seems like he wants to stay and i cant really see him leaving voluntarily. But the club has done quite well in recent years raising money from fans and sponsors. And if he did leave who would take over?

I don't follow you. What money has been raised in recent years?

You say the Club has done well. Let me see - one enforced relegation another relegation from "on the pitch" no lease, no assets. Sacked the best manager/coach we've had in 112 year history.

Forgive me if I'm being a little rude but the words "planet" "which" and "you" spring to mind.

That is my worry too SSS.

JJ I do not agree with your sentiments at this time. I think we need to go for it, and that includes bringing fresh blood onto the board.

JJ.
What about the sponsorship of programme ads,ad boards and shirts?
At least we are playing at Hartsdown again not Dover or Ashford.
Would that have happened without Keith Piper? And who do you think is going to want to take over the Club. It looks in a very sorry state.
Part of that has to be his fault. But what happens if the club ends up in somebody elses hands who proves to be an assett stripper or just useless?
I am not sure but didnt Keith Piper appoint Kinnear in the first place?

1. Yes, it's true that we are not at Dover or Ashford any longer (thank heavens) but Mr Piper has to take a great deal of the responsibility for the destruction of the old Hartsdown Park.

2. I don't agree with you about sponsorship.

3. I believe Gordon Wallis pointed Keith in the direction of CK.

4. How do you know that we haven't been asset stripped already?

5. Anybody else coming in can't do any worse than Mr Piper.

You dont know that they couldnt do any worse than Mr Piper. I actually agree with you JJ he should go. But the worry is that when he does what happens then?

I dont see too many people rushing forwards to plough their money into the club. It needs the minimum of 3 new stands,a new manager and 12 new players. Do you know anybody with a spare million to invest?

I still think this is all a bit silly with no substance.

Emotive words-asset stripping-but what assets exactly are there to strip?

I would have thought JJ would be delighted that as a shareholder he has a chance to show by voting' his feelings on this matter.

Voting could make a difference-the rest is just hot air.

I do not know-but it seems to me that there are very few shareholders who visit the forum, so maybe JJ would be better advised to find his target market of shareholders elsewhere and preach to these people as it is the shareholders who have the power to make a difference-and a change-if collectively they feel so strongly

Personally I think you blues are doomed until you can replace Piper.. You mention above about who else is knocking on the door with money for the club if Piper was to go.. More's the question how many people think twice about having anything to do with Margate BECAUSE Piper is there.?

Yes. I think we all know that Mr Pipers reputation/personality may put a few people off. But whoever came in may have the same or evem worse problems. I would love for him to be replaced by somebody with millions who just loved the club..But I doubt if such a person exists.
Perhaps if new people come in while he is at the club and invest money the club can start to move forwards again. And that may prove to be the best option.
