Recommended Posts

dick marshall is the main man for non league coverage of course and i always see him leaving basildon station as i walk into work,we all know from jeff kings time at canvey that he likes a sweetener, thats the only way you buy influence with him.

look at the coverage great wakering get, believe me marshall doesn't need to take his wallet into their bar. sorry its sad but true.

Maybe more coverage richard and that might go up to 160. At the risk of repeating myself how many West Ham fans buy the echo to read its two page report. I know for certain many locals would buy the echo more often with better ESL coverage. You included as you have told us in the past. 'm not asking for the West Ham pull out to be removed just the ESL get good coverage from its most local paper.

The same people file copy for the Dark Side as well as us. I sub all the Step FIve round-ups in the NLT and some of the copy is so bad that it is laughable. Luckily, my knowledge of NonLeague is extensive enough to amend the incorrect spelling of team names, but I am sure there are hundreds of player names that go through wrong each week.

i agree rookie west ham fans are spoilt for choice while local non league supporters have just the echo, the standard bearer is the recorder series, hornchurch recorder, thurrock recorder which are brilliant on the local non league scene.

The coverage we get in the Recorder is good. We make the back page everyweek be it only a footnote at times.more often than not there is a picture with the report. We get covered by the local free papers and also Time FM.

Is the Echo a daily? Do your clubs fax reports into the Echo?
