So they take Charlie off of us for nothing, don't give him any games and you want to pay them his wages for the year!
Well done.

Where are you going to get the

Also we haven't seen enough of Maskell and Stubbs to know how they will develop, might be worth keeping or loaning out for a season.

Not sure whether Callender or Appiah played, as no teams were announced, but Stubbs and Maskell both did against Margit reserves and looked terrific prospects. Another couple of seasons to develop and mature, as Mott, Purcell Moore and Akinde are doing, and we will have locally born strength in depth.

Sutton didn't much rate him when he went on loan there. Then again, I don't think Margate were exactly swooning over Akinde, so suppose you can't read much into loan moves.

I know a reserve team has been mentioned a number of times on the other forum, but people, and I include myself, dont know if thats feasible based on the cost of running the team and paying them. I just see other confererence teams playing reserve teams, and wonder if it would improve our strength indepth. In a normal type of season, what sort of turnover do you normally get of say your best 16 first team players ? , I know many are on 1 year deals.

Appiah started Callander came on for Nade,, remember callander only a first year, but surley worth a squad number next year

Darius charles would be a great signing, but I think he will be looking at greater heights and may cost too much. I would be suprised if Nade and Macdonald were there next year, not 100% sure of Sam Mott although he has done Ok when he has played ( saved us from a hiding at Chelmsford ) but does not fill me with confidence.

We need a couple of strong characters to strengthen existing squad, then maybe we can chalenge for playoffs and not drop points where we least expect.. although we have moved ahead in the last couple of years we are still a bit too inconsistant.

Sam is ideal as a reserve keeper. He does a steady enough job when called upon, and will only get better under the tuition of Ron Hillyard. Bit pointless having two top drawer keepers, if one spends most of the season on the bench. The salary would be better spent on an outfield player.

Liam does seem to have the knack of finding quality players, we'll just have to trust him again this summer.

Cannot see too many of those not yet signed wanting to leave, except for those commonly quoted above.

Just to throw in my two penn'orth about Moore, I would definitely get rid of him. We can easily get a more creative midfield player, who can score goals, or else a striker who can play consistently in partnership with John up front. Moore is offside at least 4 times per game and had a shocking run of form from Christmas onwards (his hat-trick against Margate aside).

I think he has had enough chances now but has only proved himself to be of Conference South standard.

As has been said before, football really is a game of opinions. I really couldn't disagree more.

Other than a lack of confidence that the hat-trick seems to have rectified, Luke's only major weakness is his lack of strength. Whilst he may not win many headers / tackles, his vision is very good, his touch is great, he is quick and his runs off the ball are intelligent beyond his years and he has chipped in with 9 goals this year.

Hopefully next year will se him improve and become the player that his potential hints at

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one

The thing is with Luke Moore is that he is progressing and in a few years time he could be very good. It's just a matter of whether he is worth the wait, because he is not up to standard at the moment. Daish seems to think so, but I personally think if we really want to get the goals in next season we're going to need someone a bit stronger.

Nade has got to go. Hopefully Daish will bring in an experienced striker to partner Akinde next season.

Not sure on Eribenne, he is very hit and miss in my opinion.

Next year will be our best chance to get promoted, either as champions, or via the play offs. We will have money available from MYFC and the Wembley money to buy some top quality strikers, a couple of wingers, and a couple of centre halves.

Every player in the squad must be able to hold a first team spot down, once established. At this juncture Chukki, Luke, Nade and George look to be short of the standard at we need to get into the football league.

That money may only be available for this year, if the MYFC goes t*ts up.

Don't forget the debt that has to be paid off/managed!
