What's up with the Rose Stu? I have never been in there.

There is talk on MyFC of a pub crawl starting at the Leather Bottel and working down the hill towards the ground.

Basically the new landlord lost all of the locals when he tried to make the pub more desireable to Teenage girls. They now have a free run of the place ,even behind the bar and in the living areas. A month ago he allowed a Chav party and ended up with a 30 underage kid mass brawl outside and half of Kent Police being called. Oh and he bulled my wife for 3 months when she worked there.

For all those making plans , The Gills game is 12:30 kick off so by 3 it could be the start of a great period of celbration.

This is greatly disappointing to hear. I used to visit the Rose before every home game while I still lived in 'the Grave'. I still visit now when I have time before a match and always found the landlord sweary, though fairly agreeable. I suppose I only go in there in the early afternoon, so I miss the problems listed above.

It's a shame the old landlords have gone. The may have been miserable, but the clientelle was always very friendly.

Nice beer still, though.
